Let's Catch Up.. Notes From My Corner of the Internet
Life updates, recent adventures, and a few things I'm excited to share.
Summer always feels a little different around here. One of the biggest perks of living at the beach is that it feels like we’re on vacation all season long. 🌊
The downside? My kids know exactly how close we are to the ocean and start asking to go almost daily.
Now that they’re both officially out for summer break, our days have shifted into that familiar mix of sunscreen, snack requests, and trying to come up with enough activities to keep everyone entertained.

When I sat down to write this week’s Substack, I kept staring at a blank page.
Usually I have a theme or a specific topic I want to dive into, but today my brain felt a bit like my life does right now, which is scattered. 💫
But honestly? That’s okay.
So today, instead of something super structured, let’s just have a chit-chat style convo together.
I want to share what’s been on my heart lately, what life has looked like around here, a few things I’ve been working on, and some random little finds that feel fun. 🤩
So, let’s catch up.
Relatable Thoughts About Life Lately
I recently got back from Charleston for a work trip with other creators and it was an absolute dream. That said, leaving the kids never gets easier. Social media only shows the fun parts, but there are definitely harder parts to traveling for work as a mom. 🚙 Missing bedtime, getting FaceTime calls that somehow make you miss them even more, and feeling torn between enjoying the opportunity and wishing you were home for the everyday moments. Two things can be true at the same time.
Summer break has officially begun, which means my children now operate under the assumption that every day should be the most exciting day of their lives. Apparently “we went to the beach yesterday” is not a valid reason not to go again today. Someone give me some more ideas of things we can do?! 😎
Lately figuring out what to make for dinner each night has become such a challenge? 🍝 I swear I can make major business decisions for my jewelry line faster than I can decide what we’re eating on a Tuesday. I am really considering purchasing What to Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking, but before I do, has anyone else grabbed it and can tell me if it’s worth it?
The Restock That Took Up Way Too Much Brain Power (But it was Totally Worth It!!)
If you've been around for a while, you know I can get a little obsessive when it comes to making sure things are just right, especially for my jewelry line Charm Lane Collection. 🩵
Well, that's exactly what happened with our Pearl Dainty Charm restock.
Pearly Dainty Charm // Bobble Chain // Tuckie Basket Charm // Bamboo Key Charm
Y'all, this one was hard.
What I thought would be a relatively simple restock somehow turned into weeks of waiting and way more mental energy than I ever expected. It became one of those things that was constantly floating around in the back of my mind. 🙇🏻♀️
But the good news is... it's finally back!
I spent this week getting all of the pre-orders packed up and shipped out.
We still have plenty available, so if you’ve had your eye on one, now is the perfect time to grab it.
Thank you to everyone who patiently waited for this one. It means so much to me, and I can't wait to see you wearing them!! 💗
My Swimsuit Search of 2026 🩱
Can we talk about how weirdly difficult it is to find a swimsuit these days?
I wasn’t looking for anything groundbreaking. I just wanted a swimsuit that was stylish but still felt appropriate for chasing kids around the beach, bending over to pick up buckets, building sandcastles, etc. without showing everything off to the world.
Apparently that’s a very specific request. 🤦🏻♀️
I ordered what felt like half of Amazon. I tried on more swimsuits than I care to admit, and returned way too many of them.
But friends, I finally found the one.
It's a one-piece and it's GOOD. Like, immediately-add-to-cart good.
Anyway, after far too much research, I’ve done the work for all of us. I’ll link it here because if you’re still on the swimsuit struggle bus this summer, this one might just save you a few returns.

It's flattering, comfortable, stays put, and somehow manages to feel stylish and mom life friendly at the same time.
My Boys Had Been Waking Up in Sweats… Until Now
Another thing going on behind the scenes in my life? Trying to troubleshoot this particular situation with my kids. 👦🏻
They were waking up really sweaty. They’ve always been hot sleepers, but lately (I guess it’s the summer heat?) even with the AC down, they sweat in their sleep!
After way too much digging and trial & error, I finally switched them over to organic cotton sheets. It made such a difference!
Even little man told me how great he slept the first night we had them on his bed.
Somehow I’ve become unexpectedly passionate about finding soft, comfortable bedding that is 100% organic cotton and still cute. 🛏️
This set is so much more breathable for hot sleepers, they feel cooler at night, and somehow still manage to feel soft, crisp, and really fresh.
Plus, they’ve held up way better than anything else we’ve tried.
